Photo Album: NEBHE Excellence Award PresentationOn Monday March 5, 2007, Paula Nirschel, wife of Roger Williams University President Roy Nirschel, received an Excellence Award from the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE). The award was given to the Initiative to educate Afghan Women which was founded by Paula Nirschel. The event, held in the State Room at the State House was hosted by Evan Dobelle, CEO of NEBHE. Governor Donald Carcieri, Secretary of State Ralph Mollis and General Treasurer Frank Caprio presented Mrs. Nirschel with citations. Haseena Niazi, a freshman at the University, who is part of the initiative, also spoke about her involvement in the program. Click on each photo to make it larger
