Collection Agencies
If your educational loans have defaulted, it is important to keep the following in mind.
- RIHEAA assigns a defaulted educational loan to a collection agency immediately upon default
- You must make payment in full to your assigned collection agency or establish reasonable and acceptable payment arrangements with the agency
