We Bring You the Latest Updates in the Financial Aid Industry

The RIHEAA Student Loan Workshop. will give you and your colleagues the most recent information about the issues affecting your role in assisting students.

Topics of Discussion

  • RIHEAA Update
  • Policy and regulatory update. This session will update you on the progress of the eighth reauthorization of the Higher Education Act of 1965.We also will report on recent changes to federal student-aid policies and procedures.
  • Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) fundamentals. This session will focus on important aspects of the FFELP, including features, key players and their roles and the electronic tools available to schools participating in the program.
  • Application-processing-system update. We will preview updates to the 2005.06 FAFSA and the federal student-aiddelivery system.
  • What would you do? This session will cover real-life scenarios found in the financial aid office. You will have the opportunity to engage in stimulating conversations with colleagues by discussing the key considerations and possible outcomes of various professional-judgment and customerservice case studies.
