RI Scholar Recognition Program

Home > Borrowers > Scholar Recognition Program

The Rhode Island Scholar Recognition Program is designed to recognize superior academic potential of Rhode Island high school seniors choosing to continue their education in post-secondary school. Academic potential is measured by a student's Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) scores or American College Test (ACT) scores. Scores for test dates up to January of the senior year will be used for Scholar determination. Scores will automatically be sent to RIHEAA by the test processing centers unless students specifically request that they not be sent.

High school seniors who are Rhode Island residents will be ranked based on their SAT or ACT scores. The top ten percent will be designated Rhode Island Scholars and will receive a Certificate of Honor from the Rhode Island Higher Education Assistance Authority.

There is no monetary award connected with this program.
