Direct Payment / ACH

One of the best ways to avoid making late loan payments is to sign up for our free direct payment program. With ACH/DirectPay, your loan payments are automatically deducted from your checking or savings account each month, saving you the trouble of remembering to write and mail a check.

Borrowers who are working with RIHEAA to rehabilitate defaulted loans are encouraged to take advantage of ACH. Simply complete the following authorization form and submit it to RIHEAA. This service is only available to borrowers who have negotiated with RIHEAA for repayment of a defaulted loan. If your loan is not in default, contact your loan servicer to set up automatic payments. Many servicers offer a discount for setting up direct repayment.

RIHEAA Direct Payment/ACH Authorization

In order to begin direct payment of your student loans, you must submit a signed authorization form permitting RIHEAA to deduct money from your checking or savings account. This form is available online in Adobe PDF Format. To read PDF files, you must have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Visit Adobe's web site (www.adobe.com) to download the software.

If you wish to receive a paper copy of the authorization form, please contact RIHEAA by telephone.

Instructions

  1. Prepare a voided blank check or deposit slip with your bank account number on it.
  2. Download the authorization form.
  3. Complete each form field using your mouse and keyboard, with the exception the signature fields.
  4. Print two copies of the form and sign both copies.
  5. Keep one copy of the form for your records. Mail the other copy, along with the voided check to:
